As we are uniquely positioned to lead our mission of making exercise and nutrition convenient, fun, and non-intimidating. We encourage those impacted by mental, physical, and cognitive challenges. We help to unlock their true strength and confidence within the mind and body, ultimately leading to a more independent and abundant life, by working alongside them, their families, carers and communities.
What services & support do you provide?
Support work, Respite, Skills for sport sessions, Fitness/PT, Nutrition and Cooking classes.
What do you find the most rewarding about being a provider?
Watching our clients confidence grow, helping them unlock their true potential by striving to become a vital cog within the broader community. We strive to care for, and respect the needs of others, by creating a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all abilities, regardless of background, status, and challenges they face.
What are you the proudest of and works well in your service?
We are adaptive to each persons needs, and have the ability to be flexible, and inclusive. We have amazing dedicated staff that truly go above and beyond, not only for the business, but for the client.
How do you ensure choice, control & person-centred care within your service?
We always have choice and control at the forefront of everything we do. We have meetings and brainstorm clients' goals, wants and needs, whilst also finding options that suit them. By choosing their own preferences, and supporting their choices, they will only thrive more, which is why choice and control is so important!
How do you maintain your provider compliance & ongoing obligations?
We are always working within Disability Compliance Australia’s guidelines, to ensure consistency and
up to date services.
How do you market & advertise your service?
Word of mouth is the most successful way of advertising our business, and we also have Facebook and Instagram and some times post on local disability pages when we have new and exciting opportunities coming!
What IT systems do you use within your service?
We use ShiftCare for scheduling, and also haveCheckPoint security software to ensure client confidentiality and online safety.
What do you find the most challenging about being a provider?
Challenging for us – usually the extreme weather as we rely on nice weather to run our Skills for Sports Sessions.
If you could give a few tips & tricks to other providers, what would they be?
Remain person-centered, and use open body language and communication. Be reliable and make it fun!
