Yes ATO and/or ASIC registered. As an individual or business, you will be required to register for an Australian Business Number (ABN) or Australian Company Number (ACN) for Australian Taxation Office (ATO) purposes. Under the NDIS legislation, an individual or business can operate as an Unregistered or Registered NDIS Provider. 

 

What is a Sole Trader, Independent Support Worker, or Unregistered Provider? 

An unregistered provider is an individual or business that provides support, product or services to NDIS participants and is not registered with the NDIS. Unregistered providers are required to implement and review some elements of NDIS and NDIS Commission legislation, standards and guidelines. 

 

What is a Registered Provider? 

An NDIS registered service provider is a person or company that has been fully audited externally by only Ndis Commission-approved auditors to meet Ndis Practice Standards. Registered providers are required to implement and review all elements of NDIS and NDIS Commission legislation, standards and guidelines.
